Full restoration was on a 2002 Suzuki GSX 1400

The bike was in poor cosmetic condition and needed striping right down to have the frame powder coated. The front forks were rebuilt with new stanchions and seals. All chassis bearings were replaced and a new stainless exhaust fitted.

Stainless steel fasteners were used throughout. Tank, side panels & tail peice were treated to 2K in gloss black

The only thing the engine needed apart from cleaning and painting was new clutch plates and springs. The bike had 48,000 miles on the clock.

 Recommissioning work on a 1974 BMW R75/5

Two owners from new, the first being Thames Valley Police, this bike needed a fair amount of work as it had been standing for 20 years.

Carbs were ultrasonically cleaned, top end removed and piston rings replaced,  bores flash honed and valves reseated. Full service including regreasing head bearings and swing arm bearings. New silencers were fitted as the originals had rotted from the inside. New cables, tyres and tubes were also required.

Full Restoration on Volkswagen T2 Baywindow

My other passion is air-cooled Volkswagens. I got this van as a rusty wreck and stripped it down to the bare body shell, all rusty panels were replaced or repaired. After the filling & flatting was finished the shell was treated to several coats of cellulose paint to keep it looking original. The brakes, steering and suspension components along with engine and gearbox were checked and overhauled or replaced where  necessary. All the work was done by me except for the interior which was made by my partner Gill.
