This is the sort of bike to find if you're after a restoration project, virtually complete and relatively easy to find parts for. I had one of these when I was 16 great little bike. Find this one here on eBay

1959 BSA C15 ripe for restoration, 80% complete, or so the vendor states. I wouldn't take it on, not unless I really really wanted this particular ceefer, they are lovely little bikes but complete runners don't cost that much. Anyway find it here on eBay

BSA Lightning, what you see is what you get, OK for spares but to try and rebuild this would be difficult & expensive, but if it's for you find it here on eBay

M21, well mostly, lot of work for the brave or foolhardy only.

Cool 70's sports moped, mostly there, would

make a good resto project and at a good price

Find it here on eBay

I love 2CV vans, I would have one if they were practical, actually I'd buy this one if it wasn't so far away.

Going cheap on eBay, find it here in Barnard Star or Barnard Castle, both a bit far either way

Ariel NG 350 that will require an unbelievable amount of work.

Main bearing went in '72 and since then it's just been loosing parts.

I hope someone rescues it but and I hate to say this, it really is just scrap.

Find it here on eBay

BSA C15 festering in Chester le Street, this was the more desirable but more stressed SS80. I had one of these as a learner many years ago now, a great but fragile little bike. Find out more here on eBay, not much of a description but lots of photos.

Not a bike granted, but certainly a barn find and it's mine. Just bought a bit of a project, I've always wanted one of these and now, well in  a few years I'll have one.

Lots of work but it will be worth it when its all sorted

Advertised as a 1939 Model 50 but with a WD 16H engine this is a great find but a bit over priced as it's not original.

Ride as is or restore? I'd keep it as it is and just get it MOT'd and potter around the lanes. Find it here on eBay for £4950.00

BSA Pre OIF Firebird Scrambler with very nice oversize forks. Looks like most of the special parts that make a Firebird unique are missing but its cheap but unfortunaly for me it's in the states. I've always had a hankering for a grey framed OIF Firebird. Find it here on eBay

BSA A65 Thunderbolt, ripe for restoration, these late BSA's are under appreciated I reckon, and this one seems to be all there according to the description. It would make a sweet bike and only 2 owners from new. Find it here on eBay

1978 KZ400 Kawasaki, sweet 70's light weight, looks like it only needs to be bolted together but you can bet it'll need a heap more work than that, it's been sitting around dismantled for 20 + years. Find it here on eBay UK

1969 Honda CB175 ready to restore, nice old 60's Japanese bike that looks 100% there, great project for somebody.

Find it here on eBay, located in Norfolk

1985 PK50 project

I'm not really into scooters, but this seems like a lot of money for what I'd consider quite a modern Vespa, but each to their own. If you're interested find it here on eBay

BSA 250 B21 Pre war single, has been standing a long time. Plenty of work to get this back on the road but it would be well worth the effort to bring such a pleasant little single back from the dead.Find it here on eBay

1953 BSA C11, 4-speed, matching eng frame numbers, barn-fresh project!

Barn fresh BSA C11 from 1953, my 1st British 4 stroke was a C11, a 3 speed from 1951, this is the deluxe with a 4 speed gearbox. Find it here on eBay

This 1978 Ducati 500 GTL is said to have 3.3 original miles, and it's reported to be brand new, having been stored or displayed and never ridden. The seller calls it perfect and it does look quite good in the photos. Find it here on eBay unfortunately it's in El Paso, Texas

Very rusty but original 1948 Ariel square 4

Most of it's there but in very poor condition, this is  a great barn find

But the buyer should be in no doubt about the amount of work required to get this back on the road

Find it here on eBay

MATCHLESS MODEL X PROJECT. Vintage AJS Brough Morgan V twin pre war BARNFIND

Cool 1930's Matchless V Twin bitsa, not original and not all from one year but a very interesting bike and it does give you license to build a bit of a special as there are so many parts that to a purist are wrong but I love it. Find it here on eBay

Round case Ducati 750 GT, part restored just needs reassembly, if there's a picture on the box that should make it a lot easier. Find it here on eBay. The seller says it's complete except for the rear down pipe but you just know there will be some fiddly hard to get parts that are missing

BSA STARFIRE 250 250cc CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE RESTORATION /REPAIR/ PROJECT 1970

On eBay is this tax exempt classic 250cc BSA Starfire as a restoration/repair project. The bike has been involved in a minor accident and has been classed as a Cat D insurance loss. Unlike cars, Cat D (Cosmetic damage) bikes are allowed straight back on the road with and do not require inspection, certification or re-registering. The engine starts and runs from the kickstand, but we do not know any of its maintenance history or current mileage. The bike was first registered on 17/12/1983, but was declared manufactured in 1970 on the logbook. Find it here

BSA A10 Goldflash 19=60 Project Spitfire Rocket Goldstar Twinshock Pre65 Vintage
 1960 BSA A10 Goldflash.
Genuine barn find in need of total restoration looks to be 80% complete, a few wrong parts such as mudguards as a 1960 model would have the full style ones, but the nacelle is complete. Find it here on eBay The A10 is just about my favourite Brit twin

BSA B40-WD MOTORCYCLE RESTORATION PROJECT

In the words of the seller

"Here is a 1967 BSA B40-WD (war department issue) Motorcycle for a restoration project.I have had the motorcycle for 25 years. Back then when I bought the motorcycle it had stood in an old barn and hadn't been started for 8 months, but it kicked over easily and the engine ran well. For the next 3 years I rode the motorcycle around in the Norfolk countryside and it was a good runner. Then due to the fact that a previous owner had foolhardily decided to hand paint, badly, over the original paintwork with matt blackpaint I along with the help of my uncle - who between him and my father had and maintained over 25 British Motorcycles - stripped the motorcycle down with the intent onrestoring the paintwork back to it's original green colour"

Find it here on Ebay

Mention BSA, and it is impossible to avoid a conversation about the wonderful big singles produced by the company during its golden years.  This M33 represents an affordable entry into this world, and is everything we love about classic British iron.  Find it here on eBay in Plainfield, New Hampshire with no reserve

The more eagle-eyed may notice some distinct sidecar-inspired characteristics in the frame design of this bike, especially the plunger rear suspension.  That is because the M33 combined BSA’s B-series 500cc single with an M-series sidecar frame.  The result is either a faster M-series bike, or a stronger B-series, depending on your point of view

This Indian's probably a bit too far gone to restore but you never know. My VW Camper didn't look much worse when I got it. But $20K the guys a bit deluded

This 1959 Triumph Bonneville T120 is said to have been ridden for the summer when delivered new and then stored in a heated garage ever since. Just 585 miles are on the odometer, and everything from the paint finish to the tires and service deals are original. Find it here on eBay in Lockport, New York.

This 1958 Triumph Trophy is impeccably presented and has been thoroughly sorted by the seller since he purchased it from the original owner’s family in 2005. The engine and electrics have been well sorted and it has proven itself as a sound ride on both commutes and longer trips. The photos are inspiring and the bike looks great in classic red and white. Find it here on eBay in Newport Beach, California

This 1971 Norton Commando is in running condition and mostly complete, but needs work. Why are the cheap ones always painted yellow? Find it here on Craigslist in Columbus, Ohio for $2100. Special thanks to TY reader Chad G. for this submission!

This 1995 Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster was built by Storz Performance as a showcase for it’s catalog of aftermarket parts. Storz parts could give the Sportster a lean dirttrack look, reminiscent of the legendary XR750. They also could make it lighter, more responsive and safer.

This Suzuki TS400 shows just 31 miles on the odometer since the rebuild, and given the still ridiculously clean look of the bike, it’s a good bet those miles were easy ones. Find it on Ebay
